Words to a Poet

Words to a Poet

red real.
blue unreal.

In your breath, time sings.

sometimes you are a rider among the hills,
your horse brown and honey.

sometimes you weep in forgotten dooryards,
your feet cold and loveless.

sometimes you are dawn's gardener.

red real.
blue unreal.

In your eyes, winter is a white room.

~

Now again, the piano in the old room, awakening
like a tigress.

and revolt of the pink sounds
in your waist.

now, I walk in origami towns.

gently move,
dawn's gardener,
those flowers have eyes.

red real.
blue unreal.

In your breasts, the piano sleeps.

green road.
blue tigress in the sunlight.

In your soul
of birds, I place
wallflowers and shrieks.

RED REAL...BLUE UNREAL..LOVED THESE WORDS......awesome words..LOVED IT.....U think deep u think well...

U see poets arent on billboards for they confine what there is that the eyes can meet thru their work...The billboard does no justice to what lies beneath... Does this answer appeal at all?? or is studyin really making me go kookoo??

These lines will forever be painted on my dark, clammy walls. You can almost taste the gorgeous cascade of colours in your tongue. Gentle reader beware-- unless these words have consumed your fear

U imageries always play along with the concept of the signifier and signified so beautifully! And great use of colours here to create a sense of the sublime...also there's a hint of psychedelia in it, I guess, which works very well. The refrain reinforces it all the more!!

Hi

I just discovered your blog. I was heartened to see someone so committed to poetry.

Truth be told however, I didn't most of your poems. Maybe it isn't my style, but they seem dreamy and that always counts right :)

And I guess why poets are not on billboards is because usually poets have more character than bars of soap or tubes of toothpaste. But hey, who knows tomorrow you might have Poets endorsing underwear up there. I would agree it would make things moderately more interesting.

Was a pleasure reading through your stuff. Will keep dropping in. Do write more.

Cheers!
